Rep. Kiggans Delivers Critical Energy & Water Infrastructure Investments for VA-02

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Rep. Jen Kiggans (VA-02) secured nearly $11 million for Virginia’s Second District in the latest House appropriations bill. When this bill is signed into law, it will provide significant investment in water infrastructure upgrades and quality of life improvements for VA-02 constituents. 

Congresswoman Kiggans said, “Access to affordable, reliable, clean water is essential to public health and economic growth. These targeted investments will help modernize critical water and sanitation systems across Virginia’s Second District, and ensure our local infrastructure is prepared to serve families and businesses for decades to come. I’m proud to deliver these resources back home and will continue fighting for responsible investments that directly benefit our constituents.”

  • $5,445,000 for Norfolk Harbor
  • $1,250,000 for Sanitary Sewer Improvements in Suffolk
  • $1,000,000 for Sanitary Sewer Relocation Project in Suffolk
  • $1,000,000 for Stormwater Storage Project in Virginia Beach
  • $750,000 for Pump Station Project in Onancock
  • $750,000 for Water Storage Improvement Project in Parksley 
  • $629,834 for the Southampton Franklin Regional Emergency Communications Network
